Postdoctoral and laboratory assistant Position in Prof.
Xinyuan Fu Lab, Model An
Prof. Xinyuan Fu is a professor in National University of Singapore and an adjunct professor in Model Animal Research Center, Nanjing University. Prof. Xinyuan Fu and his group in Model Animal Research Center are currently working on the epigenetics in cancer biology and stem cell biology. They have developed a number of in vivo and in vitro model systems for these studies. Now there is an open post-doctoral position, a bioinformatics position and a laboratory assistant position for enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who are interested in the related field.
For the post-doctoral position, in addition to a PhD degree in a related scientific discipline, the ideal candidate must be well trained in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry or a related field and have strong publication in the related field. Besides, good communication skills and capability of supervising research students are also needed. For the bioinformatics position. The person with Ph.D/M.D degree or Motivated Master or Bachelor degree students in bioinformatics, genomics, computer science, statistics, or other related fields are all welcome. Technical expertise required or to be trained are: First, demonstrated expertise in analyzing next-generation sequencing data (ChIP-seq, RIP-seq, exo-seq, RNA-seq, etc) and microarray data (expression array, SNP array, and methylation array). Second, solid skills in handling various genomic databases and software tools. Third, proficiency in using Perl and R. For the laboratory assistant, a bachelor degree or a master degree of molecular biology, genetics or a related field is needed.
