Applications are invited for a 2-year full-time appointment as Post-Doctoral Researcher in the Division of Infection and Immunity at the Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh. The position is funded by a Scottish Enterprise Proof of Concept grant.
Applicants should have a PhD in virology, immunology or drug discovery and experience with in vivo models of respiratory virus infections. The successful candidate will carry out a programme of work to test and validate the role of anti-viral miRNAs as therapeutic agents for influenza and respiratory syncytial virus infections.
The position is based in the new state-of-the-art Roslin Institute Building at Easter Bush. The researcher will work as part of team involving PIs from across the University including the Centre for Infection, Immunity and Evolution at Kings’ Buildings and the Q as well as the Edinburgh BioQuarter. The post requires excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to work to a tight schedule.
