Several PDF positions to develop novel imaging technologies for biomedical / clinical applications using Mass Spectrometry (MS) in a highly dynamic work place with opportunities for extensive industrial collaborations. Ideally, positions commence April 1, 2014.

(I) Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant field, or expect to complete the degree requirements prior to April 2014.

(II) Experience in biological MS is required. However, outstanding applicants with solid background in biological spectroscopy, biomedical engineering, instrument development are also welcome to apply. Experience in MS instrument / ion source development is highly desirable but not required.

(II) Applicants must be eligible to receive PDF funding through NSERC, CIHR or MITACS (Fellowship). Preference will be given to applicants who are willing to participate in funding competitions of fall 2013 to secure own funding.

(III) Applicants must include a coverletter along with a note clarifying whether they will be willing to secure own funding, a CV with full publication record, a statement of past research accomplishments, a statement of career goals, and submit all as ONE consolidated PDF file to arash.zarrine.afsar@utoronto.ca
