The Chemokine Receptor Imaging Laboratory is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to join our NIH funded group in the Department of Radiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. We work at the interface of chemistry and biology with an emphasis on the development and validation of imaging agents for cancer. We are also interested in utilizing imaging to understand the role of chemokine receptors in cancer biology and for therapeutic monitoring.

      Candidates should have strong molecular and cell biology expertise. Candidates with experience in phage or yeast display technologies, antibody engineering and generation, protein expression and purification will receive special consideration. Animal handling experience is useful but not necessary. Successful appointee is required to perform animal experiments.

      Requirements include a Ph.D degree in Biology/Cell Biology/Molecular Biology; self-motivation, strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new technologies; effective judgment and problem solving skills with little or no supervision; strong attention to detail and multi-tasking. The candidate must speak and write English fluently and should have a previous track record of writing and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. While funding is available and will be provided for this position, the appointee will be strongly encouraged to write and apply for outside funding in order to help career development.
