Our lab has been focusing on studying development and diseases of peripheral nervous system using human stem cells. Now we are expanding our research focus and looking for postdocs who have experience on nociceptive neuron / Schwann cell development, germ cell specification (meiosis) or cellular heterogeneity. Previous experience on human pluripotent stem cells is not necessarily required and we value more on the ‘non-stem cell’ expertise.
Research topics - Dissection of intercellular and interclonal heterogeneity in human pluripotent stem cells - Understanding meiosis commitment during human germ cell development. - Human Schwann cell specification process from neural crest and modeling Schwann cells-related diseases - Understanding human nociceptive neuron development using hESC/hiPSC toward modeling pain disorders (congenital pain disorders, diabetes and chemotherapy).
