Description: The faculty mentor for this position will be Dr.JENA J STEINLE. This person will be expected to interact well in a group setting, as well as be independent for trouble shooting of experimental design. The position will report to directly to Dr. Steinle.
Qualifications: Must have a PhD with relevant experience in maintenance of animal colonies (rats and mice). Need to have experience in site-directed mutagenesis (preferably for phosphorylation site), cell culture experience in human cells, and molecular biology experience. Prefer some knowledge in diabetes or diabetic retinopathy. Experience in analyses of signal transduction cascades is a plus.
Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and based on the prevailing wage for postdoctoral research trainees set by the U.S. Department of Labor.
