A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Matt VanBrocklin at the Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah, USA. The focus of this lab is to study fundamental mechanisms of human tumorigenesis and their application in cancer therapy. The involvement of c-KIT, RAC1, STK19, and PPP6C in melanoma initiation and progression are currently being evaluated in a novel RCAS/TVA mouse model.
Recent PhD graduates are strongly preferred. Applicants should have extensive expertise in molecular and cell biology and using genetic mouse models. First author publication(s) in peer-reviewed, English language journal(s) is necessary. Ability to work independently, creativity, motivation and a strong work ethic are important.
