A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Min Dong’s lab at the New England Primate Research Center of Harvard Medical School, to study the role of newly defined ROCO kinases in regulating cytoskeleton in neurons. The goal is to understand the molecular mechanism for the action of this family of kinases, and their roles in axon regeneration, synaptic plasticity, and neurodegenerative diseases. A background in neuroscience, with knowledge in presynaptic vesicle release, synaptic plasticity, axon regeneration, cytoskeleton regulations, neurodegenerative diseases, and technical experience in affinity purification of novel protein binding partners will be helpful, but not required.
