Postdoctoral applicants are sought for RNA molecular biology and/or bioinformatics in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara. A PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biophysics, or a related field is required. An outstanding research record and potential is required.

Areas of special interest include: in vitro evolution, RNA evolution and biophysics, structure-activity relationships, origin of life, phage metagenomics, bioinformatic analysis of deep sequencing data.
