We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to contribute to exciting projects in evolutionary genomics and disease/trait genetics. The candidate will have the opportunity to do cutting-edge research, and work in a highly interdisciplinary and stimulating environment contributing to our research into the links between genomics, evolution and disease. The position will involve developing novel approach for analysing large high throughput sequencing datasets to address important questions regarding animal disease genetics and the links between genome and epigenome evolution. The ideal candidate will have a PhD, or similar relevant experience, in a quantitative science, such as bioinformatics, computational biology or statistical genetics. She/he should also have demonstrable experience in programming, statistical analysis (e.g. in R or Matlab) and working in the Unix environment. Though not required, experience in the analysis of large high throughput sequencing datasets would be an advantage.
