About the team/job
The Gross and Boulard Groups are looking for a highly talented postdoctoral researcher to join an interdisciplinary project on the role of DNA methylation in brain gene expression control. This project combines the expertise of the Gross and Boulard groups in neural circuits and epigenetics, respectively, to understand how chromatin modifications are able to shape cell-type specific control of gene expression in the brain.
Lead a project to profile and analyse gene expression changes in mouse brain following cell-type specific viral-mediated gene and neural activity perturbations; develop and implement cutting-edge molecular genetic tools to carry out the project.
A PhD and a proven track record in molecular biology (DNA cloning, isolation of cells from tissue, immunoprecipitation, flow cytometry) and in vivo animal experimentation (husbandry, genotyping, surgery, stereotactic injection). You have a demonstrated ability in interpersonal communication and collaboration. You will demonstrate strong initiative, have the ability to work independently to drive the project forward, and be keen to work in a collaborative, international environment.

Experience in computational analysis of sequencing data (data quality control and preparation, R programming, gene network and enrichment analysis).
