Research in Electronics Systems, both basic and applied research, takes place in the areas of electronics design, electromagnetic compatibility, and measurement technology, and in close collaboration with industry. we have access to a number of laboratories, including a shielded chamber for measurements of the effects of electromagnetic exposure and radiation. To strengthen our research in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), we are now looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow with ambitions within the academy for a one-year employment, with a possible extension for another year.
Subject description Energy Engineering concerns the development of technologies and processes in order to build a sustainable energy supply. The research focuses on bioenergy technologies and energy-efficiency in industry and society.
Project description You will participate in a research project focused on EMC for electric charging stations in an airport environment. The project will investigate and achieve an understanding of the electrical environment that an increased use of electrified aircraft provides at the airport. The focus will be on the impact of charging stations on other installations and systems at the airport. Based on the learnings, the project will provide a focus on how future work around this type of installations can be specified and measured. The work will be performed in collaboration with a postdoctoral researcher in a parallel project studying radiated emission from railway traction.
Duties Our group is expanding, and we are looking for a new colleague, interested in participating building and expanding the group. The work will mainly include own research. Supervision of students and active participation in our fundraising activities will be included in the tasks with a maximum of 20% of working hours.
Qualifications To qualify for this position, you must have a Ph.D., a doctoral degree or a foreign degree corresponding to a Ph.D. or doctoral degree in electrical engineering or related subjects with a focus on electromagnetic fields, physics, or the like. Persons who have completed a doctoral degree no more than three years before the end of the application period are prioritized. You must have a good command of the English language, both orally and in writing. Experience in applied work with measurements of EMC in the laboratory and in the field is an advantage. Experience of standardization work within EMC is also an advantage.
Employment One-year employment, with a possible extension for another year. Employment is based in Skellefteå.
