Responsibilities

Our lab forms part of the Program in Cell Cycle and Cancer Biology, which offers an excellent training environment in a state-of-the-art facility. We use a variety of experimental models, including cultured cells, biochemistry, extracts from frog eggs, and advanced microscopy to address problems of chromosome structure, replication, and inheritance. Successful candidates will have good written and verbal communication skills and be willing to engage fully in lab and departmental activities. During their tenure in the Rankin lab, fellows will receive significant career development support. They can also expect to attend training courses as well as scientific conferences, where they can present their work and establish their presence in the research community.
