Postdoctoral fellow in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience
A postdoctoral training position is available immediately at the Munroe-Meyers Institute at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE, to examine the cellular and molecular mechanisms of synaptic structure and function and learning and memory. Our laboratory is currently interested in examining the role of cell adhesion molecules in dendrite and spine morphogenesis and plasticity. We use a variety of techniques including mouse models, primary neuronal cell cultures, molecular biology and advanced imaging techniques to examine fundamental synaptic mechanisms and their contribution to human disease including autisms, mental retardation and Alzheimer’s disease.
