Grade 7 (£29,541 – £36,298)
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher to work with Dr Simon Arthur on signalling networks in the innate immune system. The lab is interested in delineating the key signalling pathways in macrophages and dendritic cells that limit the induction of pro-inflammatory cytokines (for recent examples see J Immunol. 2012, 189(6):2784-92; J Immunol. 2013, 190(2):565-77; Mol Cell Biol. 2013, 33(7):1456-67).The project will focus on understanding the signalling networks activated in that regulate cytokine production and how this impacts of Th17 polarisation and the development of autoimmunity.
For this position we are seeking a talented and enthusiastic postdoctoral scientist with a background in cell biology, immunology or biochemistry. The successful applicant will have a good academic track record and will have experience with standard biochemical techniques.
The appointment is funded by Arthritis Research UK and will be for 3 years. It will be based in the Division of Cell Signaling and Immunology at the University of Dundee.
