The Analytical Research Group of the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences require a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to develop analytical methodologies for the speciation of manganese and iron by liquid chromatography inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LC-ICPMS). This work is fully funded by United Utilities and is to help in a major programme to elucidate the chemistry behind the discoloration of drinking water. The role requires a sound knowledge of trace metal analysis, with hands-on experience of inductively coupled plasma, speciation analysis, and chromatography being a significant advantage.
