We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join Dr Tal Arnon’s research group in the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, University of Oxford.
Dr Tal has recently joined the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology as a new group leader. Her research is focused on understanding the regulation of humoral immunity and on the interactions between tissue resident macrophages and B cells. This project will apply advanced intravital imaging techniques combined with in vivo and in vitro immunological assays to determine the dynamic nature and molecular mechanisms that underline B cell-macrophage interactions during homeostatic conditions, immunological challenge and chronic inflammation. The research is funded by the Kennedy Trust of Rheumatology for a period of 3 years.
You will hold a PhD in a biomedical field of laboratory-based research and have the capacity to work under pressure and deliver high quality research outputs. You will be highly motivated to continuously learn and develop new techniques and novel approaches. Ideally, you will have experience in microscopy, molecular biology and in vivo work. Expertise in immunology, inflammation or cell migration is also desirable.
