Our group is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated postdoctoral fellow to perform federally-funded research in the area of human neuroimaging of aging and dementia, with a focus on functional MRI. As part of this team, the applicant will be able to work on a large, existing dataset as well as be responsible for the design and implementation of behavioral and imaging experiments aimed at assessing memory performance in both healthy individuals aged 18 to 89 years and individuals with mild cognitive impairment. These projects focus heavily on pattern separation in the hippocampus and on understanding the contributions of hippocampal subfields and MTL regions towards memory and memory change associated with age. In addition, the Stark Memory Research Group is pioneering advances in high-resolution fMRI and ultra-high resolution microstructural DTI. The candidate should have experience with functional MRI and a background in learning and memory. A Ph.D. is required in Psychology, Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, or a related area. A successful candidate should have strong writing and communication skills, be willing to embrace new MRI techniques and analyses, and have a depth of knowledge regarding memory processes and brain functioning.
