Job Description
Postdoctoral research position available immediately for highly motivated candidate to help develop gene expression approaches for biological dosimetry, and to study the effects of different radiation modalities (dose, dose-rate, LET, organ-specific effects).
The laboratory is part of the Center for Radiological Research (http://crr-cu.org/) in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Columbia University. Some of the research will involve use of our Radiation Research Accelerator Facility (http://www.raraf.org/) located just outside New York City in Westchester County.
Successful candidates must have experience in cellular and molecular biology, especially RNA work, as well as excellent communication skills, and a high level of proficiency in one or more of the following areas: radiation biology, microarray and bioinformatics, biodosimetry.
