We are recruiting one postdoctoral fellow to work at UC San Diego on the fundamental research of interfaces (grain boundaries and, to a less extent, free surfaces and phase boundaries) in metals and ceramics, and their roles in controlling fabrication processing (e.g., sintering) and mechanical and functional (e.g., ionic) properties, with a focus on structural materials (including both metals and ceramics).
