Job Description

Tarzana Treatment Centers, a leading provider of integrated healthcare services, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Psychological Assistant at our Youth Outpatient Program in Tarzana, CA. This is a Paid Fulltime Post-Doctoral Position in Clinical Psychology. Our Tarzana Youth Behavioral Treatment Facility specializes in the treatment of mental health issues, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. The Post-Doc/Psychological Assistant will work with a multi-disciplinary team under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and Program Director. Duties include assessments and creation of individualized treatment plans for a caseload of mental health individual clients, ages 10 to 18, facilitation of group therapy sessions, working with substance abuse, crisis intervention, and participation in case conference. Training in evidence based practices is also a component of this experience. Availability throughout the week from 12:00pm - 8:30pm necessary (but actual hours may vary). DMH paperwork knowledge preferred, but not required. Applicant must have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population, have good writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families. Weekly supervision will be provided by a licensed clinical psychologist. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is highly desirable. This position is an opportunity for skill development, intensive training, professional development, and exposure to a wide assortment of treatment modalities with diverse clients.
