Our Leadership and Computing Facility division is looking for a Postdoctoral Appointee who will draw on knowledge of high performance computational (HPC) science to optimize and perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations of compression ignition engine fuel spray, combustion, and emissions using high-performance computing (HPC). Performance tools will be used to identify bottlenecks in current engine simulations (load imbalances, I/O problems, memory constraints, etc.). You will also work closely with multi-disciplinary science project teams and ALCF HPC experts to enhance the predictive capability of engine modeling codes.
