Post-doctoral fellowship positions are available starting immediately in the Diabetes, Endocrinology and Obesity Branch of the National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), National Institutes of Health (NIH). Research will focus on elucidating the mechanisms of action in obesity and diabetes pathogenesis using genetically engineered mouse models. Candidates with a strong background in cell and molecular biology with experience in neurobiology, adipocyte biology or pancreatic islet beta cell fields and familiarity with animal models of diabetes/obesity and/or experience with optogenetic tools in neurobiology are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have received their Ph.D. within the past three years and be eligible for an appropriate US visa, if necessary.
