A postdoctoral research fellow position is immediately available in the Bonni laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine. The chief goal of our laboratory is to identify the key principles and mechanisms that govern the assembly and function of neural circuits in the brain and to determine how deregulation of these fundamental mechanisms contributes to the pathogenesis of intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorders. We employ a diverse array of tools from mouse genetics to genome-wide ChIP-Seq and RNA-Seq studies and proteomics to in vivo imaging and optogenetics to electrophysiology and behavior to define the cell-intrinsic transcriptional, epigenetic, and ubiquitin signaling networks that orchestrate neuronal connectivity in the brain.
