Postdoctoral fellow Position Opening at UTHSC Houston, USA
A postdoctoral fellow position is available at the University of Texas Health Science Center (UTHSC) at Houston as my lab is moving to there from the University of Connecticut Health. The newly established laboratory in UTHSC Houston is fully funded and we are investigating immune responses after cerebral ischemia, with a focus on the regulation of microglial activation. Middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) model in mice will be employed for the study. Cutting-edge technologies including gene conditional knockout, lentivirus transfection, bone marrow chimera, flow cytometry, and other experimental methodologies will also be utilized.
The ideal candidate will be a PhD with a strong background of molecular biology, preferably those with direct hands-on experience in techniques of protein biochemistry (WB/IHC, etc.) and animal microsurgery skills.
