时间:2016-09-23来源:未知 作者:91boshi
Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Stanford University, Radiation Oncology : Stanford, United States

Postdoctoral position available in the field of Cancer Metabolism
(Postdoctoral position available in the laboratory of Dr. Jiangbin Ye at Stanford University)

The Division of Cancer Biology in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Stanford University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to investigate how metabolic reprogramming regulate chromatin remodeling in cancer progression using metabolomic and epigenetic tools.

An emerging hallmark of cancer is the modulation of metabolic pathways by malignant cells to promote cancer development. Dr. Jiangbin Ye’s professional interest is to investigate the causes and consequences of the abnormal metabolic phenotypes of tumor cells in response to microenvironmental stresses, such as hypoxia and nutrient deprivation, with the prospect that therapeutic approaches might be developed to target these metabolic pathways to improve cancer treatment. Dr. Ye’s recent work has established the significance of serine and one-carbon unit metabolism in proliferation and redox regulation in cancer. The lab’s primary goal is to explore the complex role of this metabolic pathway in oxidative stress resistance, epigenetic regulation, and cell differentiation.

The Ye Lab is located in the Stanford University School of Medicine with state-of-art research facilities. The multidiscipline research environment provides unique and outstanding training and various collaborating opportunities. The postdoctoral candidate will have direct access to modern metabolomics research tools, including YSI biochemical analyzer, Seahorse XF Analyzer, hypoxia chamber, and Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS). Dr. Ye is committed to mentoring and training the candidate, providing all the support the candidate needs to reach their career goal.

Qualifications:
1. Prior experience in research methods of epigenetics, including bisulfite sequencing, ChIP-Seq, RNASeq, and data analysis. Expertise in common bioinformatics and biostatistics analysis tools are required.
2. Ph.D. degree or equivalent within biomedical research-related field. A strong record of peer-reviewed publications in epigenetics/chromatin remodeling field is necessary.
3. Applicants must be able to learn and develop new skills such as mass spectrometry methods that are required for the studies. Previous experience with mouse model is highly recommended.

Stanford University is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer, committed to increasing the diversity of the workforce. It welcomes applications from women, members of minority groups, veterans, persons with disabilities, and others who would bring additional dimensions to the university's research and teaching mission.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
