London South Bank University is one the research and academic partners on H2020 Social Truth project and will be working on building the deep learning based multimedia verification system as a part of the Social Truth ecosystem. We are now hiring a post-doctoral researcher to work on this research project for duration of two years (full time fixed term contract)starting January 2019.
Social networks, media and platforms are becoming the usual way in how our societies operate for the purposes of communication, information exchange, conducting business, co-creation, learning and knowledge acquisition. However, the extreme growth and adoption of Social Media, in combination with the lack of control over the digital content being published and shared, has led the information veracity to be in dispute. In order to establish veritable sociality, the Social Truth will uniquely combine several cutting-edge ICT technologies, including social mining, multilevel content analytics, block chains and lifelong learning machines, enabling deep analysis, contextualization and understanding of mass-volume digital content, collected in real time from different social networks and web sources. The Social Truth will provide a representative set of textual, stylometric, semantic and emotional analysis, as well as image and video forgery analysis tools accessible "as a service".
