Ovarian Cancer Research - Post Doctoral Appointee
Post-doctoral position is available in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Indiana University School of Medicine for an OCRFA-funded project. The project focuses on the mutant p53-mediated signaling in high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC). About 96% of HGSOC harbor mutation in tumor suppressor gene, TP53. Our interests include: 1) role of ubiquitin proteasome system in mutant p53-mediated signaling; 2) epigenetic modifications in ovarian cancer with p53 mutations 3) establishing new mechanisms in tumor progression and metastasis; chemo-resistance and test the efficacy of small-molecule inhibitors in the ovarian cancer intervention.
Our research integrates in vitro organotypic 3D culture model of metastasis, mouse models, patient tumors, microarray, sequencing and proteomics-based approaches coupled with cell biology and molecular biology techniques. We consider highly motivated and creative candidates with a recently obtained Ph.D. degree and strong first-author publications.
