We seek a highly motivated and productive Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join Professor Jan Lünemann’s team within the Department of Neurology with Institute of Translational Neurology the University of Münster.
The candidate will study the role of autophagy in neuro-inflammatory diseases such as multiple sclerosis and in experimental animal models (Keller et al., Trends Neurosci 2020). The project is supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and closely associated with a trans-regional Collaborative Research Center CRC128 Multiple Sclerosis (Centers: Münster, Mainz, Munich, Bochum), ensuring high quality research and optimal networking both nationally and internationally.
The position is available from the earliest starting opportunity and is initially limited to 3 years. Funding for an extension is available and extensions will be negotiated depending on the progress of the project.
We expect a strong interest and expertise in immunology. Previous experience in flow cytometry, immunological assays, protein biochemistry, neurobiology and cell biology techniques and/or animal experimentation will be helpful. The applicant should be able to work independently, but also to be a team player and be willing to contribute to the team’s success.
Start of employment: ideally July 1st, 2021.
