We are looking to recruit an experienced Research Fellow with exciting plans to develop a research program on helminth biology and vaccine design
Role
You will establish an independent research program on helminth biology and vaccine design that will further develop the existing portfolio whilst complementing existing strengths in the York Biomedical Research Institute (YBRI), the department of biology and the Medical School. YBRIs research ethos is to support excellent research that is aligned to tackling global challenges, with a focus in this case on Neglected Tropical Diseases. You will have access to both world-class Bioscience Technology Facility containing state-of-the-art imaging, proteomics, genomics and bioinformatics and biophysics facilities and an excellent Biological Services Facility
Skills, Experience & Qualification needed
BSc and PhD in microbiology or related subject
Knowledge of Parasitology, Helminth Biology and Vaccinology
Ability to lead an independent research group
Evidence of high quality research on helminth vaccine development
Commitment to high quality research with a collaborative and interdisciplinary ethos
