Postdoctoral Fellow in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics

A postdoctoral fellow position is available immediately in the Nanoscience group, in the Department of Physics at Emory University, see http://www.physics.emory.edu/faculty/urazhdin/index.html for more information about the group. The research will focus on the interplay among magnetism, electron spin, and orbital dynamics in magnetic nanostructures, with emphasis on non-classical phenomena such as quantum fluctuations, shot noise, electron-magnon entanglement, and electronically driven Bose-Einstein condensation of magnons. Candidates with experience in nanofabrication, electronic measurements, cryogenics, and/or microwave spectroscopy are particularly encouraged to apply. Ph.D. in condensed matter physics or a related field is required. The position may be renewed annually for up to three years, contingent upon performance and funding.
